'Fleur', as she is known, has been shown both in hand and ridden to great success with many wins to her name.
As a two year old she was shown lightly at local shows where she won 7 youngstock classes for riding pony and part bred arab, plus three championships. Her career grew as a three year old as Fleur become one of the first ponies to be sponsored by Blue Chip. An amazing year for Fleur as she went on to win: - Home produced riding pony youngstock class at Ponies UK South
- Part bred Arab 2 & 3 year old and Reserve Champion at the South of England
- Part bred Welsh at Arlington Grove
- Open Youngstock at Tadley
- Part bred native at Fairfield
2nd places include - Riding Pony 2 & 3 year old South of England
- Riding Pony 2 & 3 year old Royal Bath and West
- Riding Pony 2 & 3 year old Romsey
Fleur also qualified for: - Universal Packaging Riding Pony at the Royal International
- The Wolvers Part Bred Arab PUK
- D.J. Risely PUK
- NPS Elite Youngstock Breeding
- UK Part Bred Arab
Fleur was then turned away for 6 months prior to her being backed the following spring and her first outing was to the Wessex Arab Summer Show:- - Won the 4 year old and over mare class in hand
- Won the part bred championship
- Won the amateur
- 2nd Reserve Supreme (beating all of the pure bred male champions)
She was then ridden for 2 years by Natalie Eddo and on her first outing in the novice riding pony she qualified for the NPS Championships and was placed in the final.
She came to us as a maiden in 2007 and in June 2008 produced a stunning chestnut filly, Shinglehall Surprise, by Shingle Hall Senator. Fleur has now returned to her original breeder and we were very pleased to have her. |
