'Maud' as she is affectionately known, has an exceptionally kind and generous temperament, good conformation and tremendous athletic ability both on the flat and over a fence. Previously show jumped in her earlier years moving on to become a broodmare and an asset to the stud. She has been resident with us since 2006 and produces cracking foals.
Initially, put in foal to Shinglehall Fella and produced a cracking colt Shinglehall Buster.
In 2008 Maud produced another cracking colt but this time by Shingle Hall Senator. This quality colt, Shinglehall Statesman, was presented at the BEF Futurity gaining First Premiums in both 2009 and 2010.
After a year off we put her back in foal for the following two breeding seasons to Shingle Hall Tzar. She produced a stunning colt, Shinglehall Tzaravich, and a delightful filly, Shinglehall Tzarina, both of which have been awarded First Premiums when presented at the BEF Futurity Young Horse Evaluations.
Maud's sire, Maximillian Saluut is a graded, 100-day performance tested Holstein stallion and international grand prix show jumper. He received excellent marks in his Dutch performance test and was graded at the highest level. He is also graded at the highest level with the SHB(GB), BWBS and AES. It is widely acknowledged that he would also have been equally successful as a dressage horse. Saluut's sire Ronald has produced a large number of offspring successful in international dressage and jumping, and his sire, Ramiro, is legendary. Saluut is also a dual olympic sire and no other stallion worldwide had offspring selected for both dressage and show jumping at the Atlanta Olympics!
